Whether you’re writing a novel, a journal article or a blog, any typos or inconsistencies will distract from the message you want to get across.
My proofreading service gives your writing the final polish. I will correct any errors of spelling, grammar and punctuation, ensure that capitalisation, hyphenation and abbreviations are used consistently and check that all elements are arranged logically.
I always respect your voice and style of writing, and you will have the final say on all suggested edits.
Qualifications, experience and expertise
I am an experienced proofreader and copy-editor specialising in language and linguistics, religion, history and fiction. I have an excellent eye for detail, an analytic mind and a real passion for language and grammar.
I am fully qualified, having trained with the Publishing Training Centre, achieving a Distinction in Basic Proofreading and a Merit in Essential Copy-Editing. I also hold a First-Class Honours degree in Linguistics from the University of York.
As a Professional Member of the Chartered Institute of Editing and Proofreading (CIEP), I abide by their Membership Codes.
